How I got here.....
Born and raised in a small town in eastern North Carolina, I have many fond memories. What is most pertinent to my decision to be a woodworker is that my father has always been the handyman type that could do anything from fixing a toilet, working on his 55 Chevy Bel-Air, and even building a garage. As a kid he tried to teach me, but I was mostly stubborn and would rather play ball. However, as I grew older, I began to appreciate his handyman skills and work with him on many house projects including building furniture.
Although most of my early professional years as an adult were spent behind a desk as a Project Manager or with a lab coat on as a chemist, I always knew I wanted to do something different. It finally dawned on me that like my dad’s father who was a carpenter, and my own father who took his handyman skills into retirement to become a woodworker, I too had that in me. So, I am ecstatic to now have my own woodworking business where I can do something I love and at the same time put smiles on people’s faces.
I hope one day we meet, and I can make something for you to make you smile.
